My cross drilled rotors (not on my Charger) make some noise under braking. You have gaps that are coming into and out of contact with the pads. Mine are aftermarket. I have never noticed this noise on factory cross drilled Porsche, MBZ. Have driven quite a few of these. I would liken it to the chamfer angles of the holes.

Here's an update: I removed the ATE slotted rotors from the rear, inspected everything and nothing was out of place. I installed a set of new OEM rotors with the same Hawk pads that I had installed with the ATE rotors and the noise is gone. Seems pretty straight forward - at least on my car slotted rotors on the rear added unwanted noise.
Slotted and cross-drilled rotors are certainly stylish, but smooth is often the best way to go when sourcing brake rotor replacement parts. A reality check about the type of driving you are most likely to do with your vehicle will help you make the best decision for your needs.

I almost sound like when a bearing is dry or is going bad.
Now, i had taken the car to 2 different places and they check the tires and said that the tires are good and no bent wheels.
They also told me that the rear end is good.
They hear alittle bit of noise on the passenger rear axle bearing but nothing major.

At light to normal braking, I don't notice a difference.
I'm using ceramic pads.
I'm happy with the braking improvement, so I live with the added noise.
Definitely a cross drilled and slotted rotors noise trade-off.
These are EBC brake pads, they are quite expensive to just throw away and get new ones.
I'm think to get me some cheap pads and swap them to chek for the noise.
I used hawk performance before with problems in my old slotted discs.
After switiching my rotors to drilled and slotted I also installed the EBC brake pads, and I get some kind of a "salt and pepper shaker" sound almost like someone is shaking them while i'm driving and it get's article source steady while braking.

The ones I replaced on my 2000 Grand Prix fell apart on the backside when I removed them but I felt no play either.
I would go after the wheel bearing assemblies on that side front and back, you may not feel a thing but they can be dry and make alot of noise when moving.

Anyone has the GM part number for the hubs and the rear axles bearings and seals?
I heard is best to get them GM but like usual the stealer ship wants way too much money.
Is a stock 10 bolt, A4.

I just read that so many ppl recommend getting at least the rear bearings and seals GM becuase of the aftermarket ones falling.
I'm trying to look for Mogul bearings if I go aftermarket I used them in my early cars with no problem.
I also heard that if the axle is scorched that there is a repair bearing I can use.
I never used one of those.
